Dear Backers --
wanted to share some news--- so we have had the prototypes for a few weeks and we tested them under many environments. The insulation works, the glass protection works, the leakage of one of the caps failed. We paused the production to address this.
The bottle comes with 3 caps (flip spout cap, straw cap and screw cap). The bad news is that one of the caps -- the flip spout cap began to leak after continued usage. So we halted the production and returned to the manufacturer-- to fix the rubbers and the glass bottle to tighten the seal. The other 2 caps are 100% leakproof; however, we want to get you a robust product. Between speed and quality we chose quality, unfortunately, this may delay us an additional 3-4 weeks (October). Will keep you posted and apologize for the inconvenience, we are convinced however that the wait will be worthwhile-- this is a peerless bottle.
In the meantime wanted to share with you a behind the scenes very extreme drop case and its result
In the first video we throw it high, in the second we throw it much higher...the results speak for themselves. Excited to bring you J1B -- thank you for your backing!

Dear Backers -
we now have the fully working prototype and have given the instructions to the manufacturer to begin the scaled production. Along the good news, also wanted to provide that even though we are striving for an August delivery, September may be more likely-- will keep you informed of all updates.
Lastly if any of you are physically in NYC we would love to hear from you, perhaps have you see the prototype and get your opinion on it.
Below an update video

Hi Backers -
Wanted to mention that over the past 2-3 weeks we have been perfecting the spout lid. The thermos, glass bottle, and straw lid -- are all fully functional. However, the spout lid was a major challenge -- as it didn't fully prevent leakage, didn't open with a single finger push, and didn't have a smooth feel to its lock.
Happy to update the manufacturer has addressed these issues and has shared a video attached. Within the next 10 days, we should have the second tooling samples in NYC, and will share those as soon as they are received. Should the latest sample have no more modifications we should be on track to do the large-scale manufacturing and delivery ready in weeks (we are routing for August but may lead into September will keep you posted).
Thank you for your support
We Need Your Help --- Naming & Marketing Feedback

Dear Backers --
very grateful to you for being part of this journey. You should know that when we started this project (prior to Kickstarter) we were 100% certain on the name -- it would be "Jottle" and we proceeded on our merry way. The name was perfect encapsulated Jar and Bottle, while retaining the J associated with the children co-founders of the project. However it was not to be as we quickly learned the name is trademarked for a spicing jar (dont ask) but in short it cant be used without entering a gray area we rather avoid. Hence we introduced the product as J|Bottle-- and new ideas sprouted.
Your feedback is critical -- as the first backers who best understand the product -- we ask if you can please fill out this 5 minute survey letting us know about you, your preferences and what are your thoughts on the name and logo of the product. Please click the link below to provide your feedback
