Can I use these bottles separately? How is the J/Bottle light pack different than the J/Bottle Standard pack?
If you purchase the J/Bottle Standard Package and above – yes you can use the bottles separately.
If you purchase the J/Bottle light package – you can only use the bottles together, since this version doesnt include the modules that allow the bottles to be used separately. Those modules are the modular spout, the glass bottle screw cap in addition to the additional features in the standard pack including the built in straw cap and the koozie rubber.
For the full J/Bottle experience we strongly recommend the J/Bottle standard package and above.

Is shipping & taxes included?
No, shipping nor taxes are included in our prices to any destination. Shipping & taxes are costs that will be added to the rewards price.
As a small company, we cannot risk getting shut down by the tax man so this is really important stuff. Our prices do not include VAT, GST or other country taxes. The price also does not include US sales tax in most states.
For U.S. customers, your sales tax will be assessed after the campaign when your final shipping information is confirmed. This does not apply to all states.
Our terms of sale for international orders are FOB destination. This means that you pay all duties or taxes in your country if applicable. As we are shipping these products all over the world, it is impossible for us to build in the various duties, VAT and GST tax for each location through Kickstarter. If you backed our first or second campaign and did not need to pay VAT then I would expect the same outcome on the new product because the price point is similar and we are using the same logistics partner.

For international customers who are required to pay customs, you will receive an email from your local customs authorities asking for payment to have your order processed through customs. Unfortunately, there is no legal way around customs (including marking an order as a gift, which we cannot do). Once you make that payment to the customs broker your order will be processed for final delivery.

How long will it keep the liquid cold/hot
12 hours hot & 24 hours cold when used either as a hybrid or the thermos independently.
Note that the glass bottle is made from tempered glass so it can withstand boiling hot liquids and is stronger than average glass.

Yes, you can use the two bottles independently.
Note that the glass bottle alone doesn’t provide insulation. To get the benefit of insulation while using the glass bottle, it must be used in hybrid mode (together – the glass bottle inside the stainless steel thermos)

How do I choose the color options in my order?
Before your order ships, you will receive a survey form to confirm your address and finalize your order. During this process, you will be able to select the color combinations you would like for the steel bottle on your J/Bottle and Add-Ons. All J/Bottles are individually packaged so you can mix and match .

What is the Return Policy?
| If you’ve purchased from J | B before, you know that we offer excellent customer service and work with each customer on a personalized basis to make the issue right if an issue arises. That being said, we do not offer refunds or returns on items received as Kickstarter rewards. Support from our Kickstarter backers allows us to run production, gain feedback and design new products. Kickstarter products are referred to as “rewards” because they are not purchases in the traditional sense. They are rewards for supporting our business in a similar way that public television funds their service through pledges from viewers. |

How are the bottle colors selected?
There will be 2 colors to start – Those 2 colors will be selected post campaign based on the 2 most popular requests. From there we will contact you after the campaign to see which of the 2 colors you would like.
If more than 1,000 bottles are sold, there will be a third color. for every incremental 500 bottles (after 1,000) there will be a new color bottle available.
Note there will also be multiple color rubber grips and rubber koozies that will be added to your order depending on how many rewards are sold, as explained in the main campaign page.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
